To add or update your SPF record on GoDaddy.com follow the instructions below.
Depending on your current DNS (Domain Name Server Records) you may have to create a new SPF record in your account or modify an existing one. The process below describes how to both add or edit a SPF record. To avoid confusion, in the instructions below we will ask you to add a TXT record. This TXT record works as your SPF record. Both are simply DNS records which can be used interchangeably depending on your Domain Provider and will help to improve your deliverability. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact support on email@example.com or log into Black Pearl Mail and click on Live Support
Login to your GoDaddy account (https://nz.godaddy.com )
Then select Manage DNS for the Domain you wish to add a TXT record to.
You will now be in the Domain Details for your selected Domain. Select DNS Zone File.
You are now able to check to see if your Domain DNS records already have a TXT record present. Scroll through the Details and look for a category called TXT (Text).
If you were able to find a TXT record in the TXT category go to Step 9.
If you were unable to find the TXT category follow these instructions. Go back to the top of the page and click Add Record.
Select TXT (Text) as your record type.
Please continue to Step 10.
Click the Edit icon for the TXT record.
Enter @ as your host.
Then copy and paste the "SPF record to use" from your Black Pearl Mail account in the Activate Account or Mail Settings Tab. It will look similar to this example:
"v=spf1 include:spf.blackpearlmail.com ~all". (If you're editing a record paste over the existing record as it is incorporated into the new record).
Lastly change the TTL to 1/2 hour in the dropdown box.
Scroll up to the top of the page and click Save Changes in the red box.
Your TXT record has now been added to your DNS records. To ensure it was successful go to your Black Pearl Mail account and into the Activate Account or Mail Settings Tab.
Check Step C. Add SPF Record to see if the TXT record had validated. This may take up to 24 hours.
